Relax during your procedure with Conscious Sedation
Dr. Steiner will prescribe a relaxing medication for you to take prior to your procedure. You will be conscious and able to respond to our questions during your procedure, but should expect to have a very relaxed feeling and complacency toward what is happening around you. Most of our patients who have used this method prefer it when they are anxious about a certain procedure. You will need a driver to and from your appointment.
Our office uses the most accurate and least invasive methods to place Dental Implants. This includes the use of a custom ordered surgical guide. Using the surgical guide removes any guesswork involved in Implant placement, allowing us to avoid the risk of damaging nerves or neighboring teeth. Very few offices in the Treasure Valley use this technology! We feel that it gives you the very best outcome and the best looking result.
Same day Crowns are the best way to do crowns! These are convenient, cost-effective and precise. If you haven’t hear about this procedure, please view the video below. You will never want a traditional crown again. Our patients love this convenient and time-saving way of doing crowns.
Veneers are thin pieces of porcelain used to recreate the natural look of teeth, while also providing strength and resilience comparable to natural tooth enamel. It is often the material of choice for those looking to make slight position alterations, or to change tooth shape, size, and/or color.
Composite (Tooth Colored) Fillings
Tooth colored fillings are the most advanced way for us to restore a tooth. The filling doesn’t shrink the way silver fillings can, and are very resistant to breaking. You are ready to eat right away once the appointment is done and they can drastically change the brightness of your smile.
Also called a bite guard, this appliance is recommended for our patients who have the tendency to grind or clench their teeth. This can cause damage to the teeth and pain in your jaw, and is something many insurance companies will pay for, depending on your coverage. We are one of the few offices in the valley willing to help take advantage of your existing medical coverage, allowing you to retain your dental benefits for other treatment.
We provide quality denture care in our office. We can even offer Implant Retained dentures, which reduce jawbone deterioration and keep the denture in place while eating and talking.
We include 6 months worth of adjustments with the cost of the Denture.
We do many extractions here in office, so you don’t have to worry about being sent all over town to get work done. We use Langer Dental Arts for our Dentures and Partials, and our patients have been very happy with the work we provide while using their lab services.
We offer all traditional forms of tooth replacement, including temporary and metal based partials. We use Langer Dental Arts Lab.
This can be a marriage saving device! Many medical insurance companies with consider payment, and Dr. Steiner is one of few dentists in the Treasure Valley who will bill your medical insurance. We can also check dental coverage for this procedure.
This procedure often gets a bad name, but today’s technology and simplified methods have helped Dr. Steiner to perform Root Canals more efficiently and more comfortably than ever before.
Root Canal treatment is necessary when the pulp (soft tissue) inside your teeth containing blood vessels, nerves and connective tissue) becomes inflamed or diseased. During root canal treatment, Dr. Steiner removes the diseased pulp. The pulp chamber and root canal(s) of the tooth are then cleaned and sealed. If the infected pulp is not removed, pain and swelling can result, and your tooth may have to be removed.
Causes of an infected pulp could include:
- A deep cavity.
- Repeated dental procedure
What is CEREC®?
Chairside Economical Restorations of Esthetic Ceramic or CEREC® for short is a new state-of-the-art method of reconstructing tooth restorations. CEREC® uses computer-assisted design (CAD) and computer-aided manufacturing (CAM) to offer single-day restorations for patients. This new technology has revolutionized ceramic restorations such as crowns and veneers for patients so that there is no longer a wait between preparing the restoration and finally receiving the finished product. With CEREC®, the technology is used while you are sitting in the dental chair, which is both economical for you and your dentist. The restorations created are metal-free and tooth colored to restore your tooth to its natural beauty, strength and function. With CEREC®’s CAD-CAM technology, these ceramic restorations can all be done in one single visit to the dentist.
The CEREC® Process
CEREC® uses CAD-CAM technology to design and mill custom restorations during one visit to the dentist. So how does this process work?
Exam and Preparation
Before you get started, your dentist will determine if CEREC® is right for you. Depending on how much healthy tooth structure you have remaining, it may be a simple filling or you may need a crown. After reviewing your options, the dentist will begin the process by administering anesthetic and preparing your tooth for restoration by removing decay and weakened tooth tissue.
In order to make the desired restoration, a 3-dimensional image of the tooth that needs to be restored must be created from a digital camera scan of the tooth. This three-dimensional image will be used to create the restoration without the need to take a messy impression. This means no horrible tasting impression material for you to gag on. The computer and CEREC® 3D software then converts the digital image into a three-dimensional virtual model of the prepared tooth.
This device is used to used to create the custom restoration needed for the tooth. Based on the original color of your tooth, the dentist is able to select the correct colored ceramic block and in a few minutes, the milling device is able to create the restoration needed.
Placing the Restoration
After the restoration is made, it is ready to be tried on to ensure that you get proper fit and bite. When it is ready, the restoration is polished and bonded into place by your dentist. Therefore, no temporary restoration is needed and no return trip is necessary, saving you time and money.
